“Plastic-Free Schools” Campaign at Tyre Community School (TCS)

Within the framework of the advocacy campaign “Plastic-Free Schools,” part of the project Lebanese Civil Society Fights for a Plastic-Free Sea, the Green Southerners Organisation, in cooperation with Tyre Community School (TCS), organized an awareness seminar entitled “The Environment and Ways to Protect It.”

The seminar focused on the negative impacts of plastic use and its serious threat to the environment, particularly the marine environment, as well as on ways to replace plastic with environmentally friendly alternatives.

This was followed by a question-and-answer session, during which students shared their opinions and demonstrated notable knowledge, enthusiasm, and positive engagement.

The seminar concluded with the distribution of metal water bottles to encourage reducing plastic use.
