Awareness Activity to Reduce Plastic Use and Protect Marine Turtles in Al-Abbassiya

As part of the “Baqbouq Without Plastic” project, and upon the initiative of the Green Southerners Organization, in cooperation with the Environmental Committee of Al-Abbassiya Municipality, and in the presence of the municipality’s engineer Mohammad Darbaj, along with a number of the organization’s members, an awareness-raising activity was held inside Al-Tawfeer Cooperative – Al-Abbassiya.

During the activity, cloth bags were distributed to customers, carrying a message calling for the protection of marine turtles and encouraging the avoidance of plastic products. The initiative aimed to promote the use of reusable cloth bags instead of plastic ones, in order to reduce plastic consumption during shopping.

In turn, Al-Abbassiya Municipality and the Green Southerners Organization extend their thanks to the management of Al-Tawfeer Cooperative for their commitment to spreading environmental awareness.
