The Ministry of Culture Requests the Suspension of Works on Adloun’s Historic Waterfront

Based on a written request and ongoing communication between Green Southerners and the Director General of Antiquities, Mr. Sarkis Khoury, regarding the commencement of construction works this morning on the historic waterfront of the town of Adloun, we were informed by the Directorate that the Director General of Antiquities has addressed a formal letter to the Governor of South Lebanon requesting the suspension of any works at the site until the project plans are submitted to the Ministry of Culture and its approval is obtained.
