Launching Grey Wolf Club

The Grey Wolf Club was established as a youth program that leads hiking and nature exploration activities across South Lebanon and Lebanon to introduce participants to natural and heritage sites. The name highlights the importance of the grey wolf in the Lebanese wilderness and the need to protect it by securing suitable habitats through nature reserves, since it is a key species and a top predator in the local ecosystem. The club later organised many activities, including thirteen hikes in the Zebqine Valley to promote the proposed nature reserve, along with hikes in the Bisri Valley, Rayhan, the Southern Coastal Trail, Naqoura, the ruins of Umm al-Amad, Shamaa and its fortress, Jabal Safi, Wadi al-Hujeir, Rachaya, Bkassine Forest, and other locations. These activities strengthened youth engagement with nature and supported efforts to protect environmentally and culturally important sites.
