White Phosphorus Use Documentation Project

The organisation launched its White Phosphorus Documentation Program after Israeli forces used white phosphorus for the first time on 10 October in the Mari Plain in Hasbaya. The program created a structured field process to record impacts, collect evidence, and assess environmental damage.

The team also developed a verification method and worked with the Lebanese Civil Defense, field journalists, and a network of its volunteers in nearby villages to ensure accurate and reliable documentation.

The program remains active and holds a complete photographic record of strike locations, residues, and their effects on habitats, agriculture, and wildlife. It also produced verified material on violations against civilian areas, farmland, forests, and woodland. This work supports accountability efforts and shows the environmental consequences of the attacks.
